Continuous learning - A developer's life

Image
I've long argued that you cannot be a successful developer, if you don't commit to continually improve yourself. As I've grown older, I have come to realize that this trait is not isolated to software developers. To succeed as human beings, I strongly believe that we need to continually learn and adapt. To remove some of the burden - the work that continual learning entails - we benefit from paying attention to studies and techniques that help us to learn and to remember what we learn . I ran across an article in Lifehacker recently featuring a recorded class that I recently watched with my girls (15 and 17 respectively). We all found it very interesting and found bits in it that we could all apply in our respective lives as students and professionals. Without any further ado, here's the video. Watch it if you know what's good for you ;-)
